This unique training, Somatic Perspective of the Spine—which is the first module of the Yoga Therapy Immersion program—continues the journey to hone your skills in the fascinating, effective, and integrative field of yoga therapy.
Over this 2 day training, you will learn how to help students create more ease and stability, find more functional movement patterns and integrate well-being into their life using the eight limbs of yoga. Determine how to integrate SomaYoga, a blend of yoga and Somatics, into a your own personal practice, classes and therapeutic privates.

Defining Yoga Therapy
Learning the anatomy of the Spine, Body Reading, Somatic Body Reading
Detecting Signs, Symptoms, and Solutions for the Flexion/Extension Syndrome
Exploring the Science of Somatics and SomaYoga
Identifying Green Light, Red Light Somatic Reflex Patterns
Understanding Myofascial Lines: Superficial Back Line and Superficial Front line
The acquired skills from this class will enable you to bring a stronger individualized touch to your classes and/or practice. You will be able to support clients or students with impairments of the fascia and posture.
By knowing how props and adaptations can be incorporated, you will be able to find the safest and most beneficial way for each student to practice yoga—improving their overall ability to move smartly and safely.

Cost
Module 1 serves as the foundation for the rest of the Yoga Therapy Immersion program. For those who are unable to commit to the entire program, you may attend this just this module. BUT should you choose to continue with modules 2-5 (February-May 2020), your tuition will be applied to the full price of the entire training.
